CARG was formed in 1980 and since that time Club members have been actively involved in many radio related events throughout Northern Ireland.

September 2013:

 

NEW CLUB SEASON

Carrickfergus Amateur Radio Group Club nights will resume for the new season on Tuesday 10th September 2013 at 7:00pm in the Club venue, Downshire Community School, Carrickfergus.
All existing and new members are most welcome to come along. Tea/coffee will be on the go from 7:15pm onwards.

New Amateur Radio licence courses will be enrolling from 10th September 2013 for Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced licences. If you are interested, come along on the 10th September to enroll.

The Annual Carrickfergus Amateur Radio Rally will take place on:

Saturday 19th October in Downshire Community School, Carrickfergus, BT38 7DA. Opening Time: 11:30 am. Further details will follow.

Club Nights & Venue

If you have an interest in Amateur Radio, Short-Wave listening or radio in general, the Club meets every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm in Downshire Community School, Carrickfergus. The Club welcomes all existing and new members at any stage throughout the year - call in for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat and get involved!   

The Club meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm (September to June). Downshire Community School, Carrickfergus, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. See the Events Diary for holiday details.

Downshire Community School is at the top of Downshire Road. Downshire Road is off the Larne Road, as you leave Carrickfergus heading for Whitehead. Downshire School is signposted (take a left) on the Larne Road heading for Whitehead. Clear here, select the 'Map' button, and zoom into Carrickfergus to find Downshire Road on a Google map.
